Essentials: The Summer Holiday

Here are my summer holiday essentials à la Self Service.

1. La Roche-Posay SPF 50 Anthelios sunscreen & Biafine Act to use as an aftersun

2. Sunhat / cotton scarves to create a makeshift turban!
3. Kaftan
4. COS bikini
5. Good reading material
6. Chanel Le Vernis in Orange Fizz
7. Navy Toms espadrilles
8. High waisted vintage denim shorts
9. White linen t-shirts (Jigsaw is good when your budget can't quite stretch to Isabel Marant)
10. Good company

Indispensible summer outfit
Comptoir des Cotonniers navy & white stripy dress & gladiator sandals for day. Toast polka dot flared trousers paired with a cream blouse and Chanel ballet flats for evening.

This summer’s destination
Côte d'Azur, France

  1. La Roche posay is a holiday must I agree! I'm off on mine tomorrow and it is already packed. Lovely light non-greasy sunscreen yet completely reliable and long lasting.
The sound of these jigsaw linen t-shirts intrigues me - I love the look of the IM ones but they're a tad on the budget-busting side.
    Hope you're having a lovely holiday! X

  2. love your summer essentials, kind of getting me excited for the upcoming spring and summer in sydney. I love wearing oversized shirts instead of kaftans at the beach - my current favourites are one by Thomsen in a chambray blue floral print and a white silk/cotton mix by Acne. And I can't agree enough with the scarves as turbans thing. I have so many beautiful scarves by an Australian label called Benah, and I love nothing more than twisting them into turbans or around my neck as necklaces in Summer.

  3. Love Anthelios sunscreen. It doesn't clog pores, but still offers great protection! Found myself nodding to everything on this list.
