Photoshoot: Gaia Repossi by Karim Sadli

From Diane Keaton in Annie Hall to Phoebe Philo at the CFDA's, the most stylish women wear menswear. Another case in point: Gaia Repossi, shot by Karim Sadli, for Issue Four of The Gentlewoman. Photographed in a mixture of Dior Homme and YSL with her father's suit thrown in for good measure, Repossi is the epitome of effortless chic, perfectly striking the balance between masculinity and femininity.

  2. Oh yeah. This was an amazing shoot - and and even better interview. I had no idea that she was an archaeology/egyptology student and that her father took her to a mens taylor when she was young. amazing. I really do love her style quite a lot!

  3. This feature is so beautifully done. I like that they just let the some of the outfits sit loosely on her instead in having her adopt some strange pose to break the severe lines, the way some magazines cheat when they put women in menswear. The shoulders are larger than what we're used to and the layers look heavier on a woman, but there's no attempt to gloss it over too much.

  5. Love this clean, androgynous shoot. The contrast of the black and white really makes you focus on her facial features.
